The past few years have been very exciting ones for me! I have a number of pieces that are being released by publishers this year, and exciting performances and commissions for new band works.
Black Mast is now available from Carl Fisher. This grade 2 band piece is a swashbuckler sure to please your band students.
Trolls! is also now available from Carl Fisher. This grade 1 band piece is a dramatic work about, well...you guessed it, TROLLS!
The Barley Grain is available from BRS Music. This grade 3 piece is a setting of the Irish jig of the same name and a companion double-jig in a modern setting for concert band. The Barley Grain features the woodwinds and percussion and is perfect for a concert closer. Performance is by the Butler University Wind Ensemble.
In Goldengrove Unleaving in versions for both for clarinet quartet and saxophone quartet is available from BRS music. This originl work is perfect for high school solo and ensemble featuring both lyrical and faster sections that will intrigue and challenge your students.

Jason Ham, euphonium soloist with the West Point Band, will be premiering the piano and euphonium version of Declamations for Euphonium and Wind Ensemble on June 28th at the New York Summer Music Festival in Oneonta, NY.
Declamations will be premiered in the wind ensemble version by the University of Georgia Wind Ensemble in the 2013/14 season, with Jason on euphonium, John Lynch, conductor.
Sandra Jackson, clarinet professor at Eastern Michigan University, has commissioned a work for clarinet and wind ensemble for the 2013/14 season. The working title is Whispers and Evocations. The piece will be premiered in a version for clarinet and piano in summer 2013 on a concert at the Interlochen Arts Camp, Interlochen, Michigan.
